Dreissigacker Riesling Auslese 2021 (37.5cl)

The wine
This is a soundly aromatic sweet wine with hints of luscious honey and delicate floral aromas. On the palate, the zesty acidity complements the fine sweetness of this Riesling, resulting in a harmonious, pure and lively Auslese with only 7% abv.
The fruit comes from a selection of Jochen Dreissigacker's best sites around the village of Bechtheim, among them Hasensprung, Geyersberg and Rosengarten. They catch sun all year, which gives the richness, while loess and limestone soils account for the fine floral character. Jochen has held organic certification since the 2010 vintage and works much of the estate biodynamically. He is one of the names at the front of what is fairly called the Rheinhessen revival, a region long dismissed and now producing some of Germany's most serious Riesling.
