Mount Horrocks Cordon Cut Clare Valley Riesling 2024 (37.5cl)

The wine
Bright, light gold. Delicate aromatics belie a vibrant, honeyed and intense wine, ripe and juicy.
Cordon Cut is made by severing the cane that feeds each bunch while the fruit still hangs, so the grapes dry on the vine and concentrate without botrytis. Stephanie Toole revived the technique here, and it gives a sweet wine with Clare Riesling acidity intact. This is the half bottle. Mount Horrocks is Stephanie Toole estate in the Clare Valley, certified organic, where each variety is matched to a specific site rather than planted wherever there is room.
