Dobogó Mylitta Tokaji Noble Late Harvest 2023 (37.5cl)
£20.45
The wine
A luscious noble late harvest from the biodynamic Dobogó estate in Tokaj, blending botrytised Furmint and Muscat. A lighter, more delicate sweet wine than the classic Aszú.
Aromas of apricot, honey, orange blossom and peach. The palate is sweetly ripe yet fresh, with racy acidity carrying stone-fruit flavours to a clean, lifted finish. Elegant and moreish.
Lovely with fruit desserts, tarts or soft cheeses, or as a chilled aperitif. Serve well chilled in small glasses.

Dobogó
View all Dobogó winesDobogó is a small, celebrated estate in the Tokaj region of north-eastern Hungary, one of the world's great historic wine areas. Family-run and biodynamic, it crafts both dry Furmint and the legendary sweet Tokaji Aszú. Few names better express the modern renaissance of Tokaj.
Furmint is the noble grape of Tokaj, grown here on volcanic and loess soils in prime vineyards around the town of Tokaj. For the sweet wines, the autumn mists of the Bodrog river summon noble rot, shrivelling the grapes to concentrate their sugars. Meticulous, low-yield farming is the foundation.
In the cellar, the dry Furmints are made taut and mineral, the Aszú wines rich yet balanced by Tokaj's racy acidity. Long ageing builds depth and complexity across the range. Purity and precision define the house.
From a crisp dry Furmint to a profound six-puttonyos Aszú, Dobogó offers Tokaj at its finest. Mineral, characterful and utterly distinctive, these are wines steeped in one of wine's great traditions.
