Pieropan Le Colombare Recioto di Soave 2021 (50cl)
£30.95
The wine
Intense gold, almost amber, with dried apricot and lightly toasted almond. The palate is perfectly balanced.
Recioto di Soave is the sweet wine of the appellation, made from Garganega bunches dried on racks for months before pressing, which concentrates sugar and acidity together. It is the white counterpart to Recioto della Valpolicella and considerably rarer. Pieropan farm 60 hectares on the stony hills of Soave Classico and 20 in Valpolicella, and in the early 1930s were the first to bottle Soave under their own name. This is the 50cl bottle.
