Marenco Passri’ Moscato Passito di Strevi 2020 (37.5cl)

The wine
Straw yellow with amber highlights and great intensity. Deliciously rich and concentrated.
Passito means the grapes were dried before pressing, laid out for months to lose water so that sugar, acid and aroma all concentrate together. Strevi is among the most highly regarded corners of the Moscato zone, and Muscat is one of very few grapes whose wine genuinely tastes of the grape itself, which is what makes a passito of it so distinctive.

View all Marenco winesMarenco is a long-established family estate in Strevi, in the Piedmontese hills near Acqui Terme. Across several generations it has become known for aromatic, characterful wines rooted in the local traditions of Moscato and Brachetto.
The vineyards lie on the calcareous hills of southern Piedmont, ideally suited to fragrant, expressive varieties. Careful farming and a respect for tradition give wines of purity, perfume and genuine sense of place.
Among the estate's treasures is the Passri' Moscato Passito di Strevi, a luscious dessert wine made from air-dried Moscato grapes. Golden and unctuous, it offers apricot, honey and candied citrus balanced by bright acidity.
Fragrant, generous and full of Piedmontese charm, Marenco's wines celebrate the region's aromatic heritage. The Moscato Passito is a jewel to close any table.
