Finca Fella Cala Rey Tempranillo Rosado 2025
£10.75
The wine
Bright, pale pink with an expressive nose. Delicate yet intense red cherry and raspberry.
Tempranillo gives colour readily, so the skins are left in only briefly to keep a rosado this pale. Castilla-La Mancha is the largest vineyard region on earth by area, long the source of Spain bulk wine, and its higher, steeper corners are where growers have begun making something better from old vines and cool nights. Finca Fella work steep slopes at Alpera in Castilla-La Mancha, overlooking the valley below.

Finca Fella
View all Finca Fella winesFinca Fella crafts bright, great-value wines from the high plains of Albacete in south-east Spain, on the border of Castilla-La Mancha and the Levante. This is warm, sunlit country, well suited to both fresh whites and generous reds. The wines are honest, modern and made to be enjoyed.
The vineyards sit at altitude on limestone and clay soils, where cool nights preserve freshness in the ripe fruit. Native grapes such as Tempranillo and the deeply coloured Alicante Bouschet thrive here. Careful, unfussy winemaking keeps the fruit at the fore.
The everyday Cala Rey range offers crisp whites, pretty rosados and juicy reds for the table. At the top sits El Maso, a bold old-vine Almansa red of real depth. Together they show the breadth of this sunny corner of Spain.
These are wines with easy charm and plenty of character, offering more than their modest prices suggest. They are fresh, fruit-filled and endlessly food-friendly. Finca Fella is a find for everyday Spanish drinking.
