A youthful Pouilly-Fumé with an initial zingy freshness; as this sleek and focused Sauvignon flows over the palate the character of the grape unfurls with citrus zest and a fine mineral thread. Named for the fossil-rich Kimmeridgian soils it grows on.

André Moreux bought his first vines in 1702, across the river in Sancerre. Two families, two banks of the Loire, and three hundred years and fourteen generations of accumulated knowledge. The wines are Pouilly-Fumé of real character, from the fossil-rich Kimmeridgian marl and the stony caillottes that define the appellation.
