Les Blanchots sits at the eastern end of the grand cru slope and gives the most delicate and perfumed of the seven. Chablis has just seven grand crus, all on one right-bank hillside above the town. Domaine Laroche is one of the oldest houses in Chablis, based in the Obediencérie, a ninth-century monastic building in the centre of the town.
