Domaine Cauhapé Ballet d’Octobre Jurançon Moelleux 2021 (37.5cl)
£9.95
The wine
A gently sweet Jurançon from Domaine Cauhapé, made from Petit Manseng harvested in October. Lighter and fresher than the late-picked Symphonie, all about balance.
Aromas of apricot, peach, honey and orange blossom. The palate is softly sweet and fresh, with racy acidity, stone-fruit flavours and a clean, lifted finish. Elegant and versatile.
Lovely with fruit desserts, soft cheeses or as a chilled aperitif. Serve well chilled.

Domaine Cauhapé
View all Domaine Cauhapé winesDomaine Cauhapé is the leading estate of Jurançon, the historic white-wine region in the foothills of the Pyrenees in south-west France. Under Henri Ramonteu, it has become a benchmark for both dry and sweet wines from the local Manseng grapes. Its reputation stretches far beyond the region.
Jurançon's steep, terraced vineyards enjoy warm days and cool mountain nights, ideal for the aromatic Gros and Petit Manseng. Cauhapé grows them on clay and pebble soils, chasing freshness and perfume. For the sweet wines, late harvesting concentrates the fruit on the vine.
In the cellar, the dry whites are made crisp and vibrant, the sweet moelleux rich yet balanced by racy acidity. Precision and purity define the whole range. Each cuvée expresses the mountain freshness of Jurançon.
From the zesty Chant des Vignes to opulent late-harvest wines, Cauhapé offers Jurançon at its finest. Aromatic, mineral and utterly distinctive, these are wines of real individuality.
