The wine

Esprit is the entry point to the Château de Berne range, made in the pale, dry Provencal style from the Mediterranee IGP. The estate runs to 510 hectares in the Haut-Pays, the Provence of the Interior, where chalky limestone hills and cooler nights keep the fruit fresh. HVE Level 3 certified.

Château de Berne has vine-growing traces going back to Roman times. The estate now runs to almost 510 hectares of unspoilt countryside, of which 150 are planted. The vineyards sit in the Haut-Pays, the Provence of the Interior, on chalky limestone hills and valleys. That inland position gives cooler nights than the coast, which is what keeps the roses fresh.

The estate holds High Environmental Value Level 3 certification and is committed to protecting both the landscape and the people who work it. It also owns Ultimate Provence nearby.
