Vigneti del Vulture takes its name from Monte Vulture, the extinct volcano that dominates the landscape of Basilicata in southern Italy. Here, on dark volcanic soils, the estate crafts wines from Aglianico, one of the country's most noble red grapes.

The high, cool vineyards on the volcano's slopes give Aglianico del Vulture its distinctive tension, marrying southern ripeness with a savoury, mineral edge and firm structure.

The Pipoli range offers approachable, characterful drinking in both red and white, while the Piano del Cerro is the estate's structured, age-worthy flagship Aglianico.
