Soave is Garganega, late-ripening with high acidity and an almond-bitter finish, and the classico hills east of Verona are volcanic basalt, which is where the wine gets its mineral edge. Foscarino is among the most highly regarded sites within them, and Terrapieno work its slopes. Garganega has been shown by DNA testing to be the same variety as Sicily Grecanico Dorato.

Terrapieno draws on the classic vineyards of the Veneto, the rolling hills east of Verona that have given the world Soave and Valpolicella. These are wines rooted in tradition, made to show their region with clarity and warmth.

The whites are built on Garganega, the noble grape of Soave, while the reds turn to Corvina and its companions for their perfume and cherry-bright fruit.

The Foscarino Soave Classico is a mineral, almond-scented white from a celebrated hillside, and the Valpolicella Ripasso gains depth and spice from a second pass over Amarone skins, a richer, velvety expression of Veneto red.
