The wine
From the clay soils that give the cuvee its name, a gently off-dry Vouvray: quince, honeysuckle and ripe orchard fruit held in check by Chenin's razor acidity. Demi-sec is Vouvray's most misunderstood style and arguably its most food-friendly, particularly with anything spiced.

View all Domaine de la Rouletiere winesDomaine de la Rouletiere sits on some of the most sought-after slopes in Vouvray. Founded in 1914 and owned by the Gilet family, winegrowers for five generations, it is farmed by Jean-Marc Gilet across 27 hectares of Ecocert-certified organic vineyard.
Chenin Blanc is the only grape here, and it runs the full gamut: bone dry Les Calcaires, gently off-dry Les Argiles, and the more ambitious Patrimoine. Few grapes reward organic farming as visibly.
