The wine

The Pinot-led cuvée. A cascade of exceptionally fine bubbles carries expressive red berry and almond aromas to a vibrant yet rounded palate, evocative of raspberry frangipane with a streak of bergamot orange; gentle spice adds complexity while the Chardonnay brings grace and poise. Founded by Mike and Chris Roberts in 1995, Ridgeview has done as much as any house to build the modern English sparkling wine industry; Mike Roberts was awarded an MBE in 2011 in recognition of that pioneering work.

Today the estate is led by the second generation, siblings Tamara Roberts as chief executive and Simon Roberts as head winemaker, producing a globally acclaimed range distinguished by purity, elegance and complexity. Ridgeview was named IWSC International Winemaker of the Year in 2018, and its wines have been poured at state occasions and royal celebrations. The cuvées are named after London landmarks: Bloomsbury, Cavendish, Fitzrovia. Sussex chalk, London polish.
