The wine

Piper-Heidsieck declare a vintage only in years judged worthy of it, so the wine comes from a single harvest rather than the multi-year blend that makes up a non-vintage Champagne.

2018 was a large, ripe and warm year in Champagne, giving generous wines with real depth. After a gentle pressing the first fermentation took place in stainless steel, followed by full malolactic, then a long rest on lees before disgorgement. Fruit from the Montagne de Reims, Côte des Blancs, Aube and Vallée de la Marne. Supplied in a gift box.
