The wine

The house Cuvée Brut in a limited Marilyn Monroe livery. Pale golden, with intense almond and fresh hazelnut over pear and apple and a delicate hint of citrus, lively and light on the palate. The almond and hazelnut character is the Piper-Heidsieck calling card.

The connection is not invented: Marilyn Monroe told Life magazine in 1952 that she went to bed in nothing but Chanel No. 5 and woke to a glass of Piper-Heidsieck, and the house has marked the association ever since. The wine inside is the same blend drawn from a wide spread of crus across Champagne, fermented in stainless steel, taken through full malolactic to soften the acidity and rested long on lees after blending. Piper-Heidsieck was founded in 1785, holds the most awards of any Champagne house of the last century, and became one of the first to achieve B Corp certification in 2022. Chief winemaker Émilien Boutillat has been in post since 2018.

The producer

Piper-Heidsieck is one of the great houses of Champagne, founded in 1785 and celebrated for its vivid, fruit-forward and impeccably crafted cuvees. With more than two centuries of history and a cabinet full of awards, it is a true grande marque with genuine glamour.

Drawing on grapes from across the Champagne region, the house style is built on Pinot Noir, bringing freshness, generosity and precision. Skilled blending and patient cellar ageing give the wines their signature vibrancy and finesse.

The range runs from the crowd-pleasing Cuvée Brut and low-dosage Essentiel cuvees to the bold Rosé Sauvage, elegant declared Vintage and the rare, experimental Hors-Serie bottlings, with gift-boxed options for every celebration.

Effervescent, refined and always welcoming, Piper-Heidsieck is Champagne with a sense of joy, a house that has delighted for generations.
