Les Terres du Roy Côtes-du-Rhône Rouge 2024

The wine
Ruby red, with an enticing nose that is ripe and concentrated, full of dark fruits and liquorice.
These vineyards sit on land that was once the lakes of Rochefort and Pujaut, drained artificially centuries ago, which left behind soils quite unlike the stony terraces around them. Côtes-du-Rhône is the regional appellation covering the whole of the valley, Grenache-led and made for drinking young rather than for the cellar.
