Les Terres du Roy, meaning lands of the king, takes its name from the royal history of its home in the southern Rhône. Its vineyards sit on land that was once two lakes, Rochefort and Pujaut, drained in 1612 to create farmland.
The wine is vinified in a modern winery renovated in 2001, capturing the warmth and generosity of the southern Rhône in a classic Grenache led style.
The Côtes-du-Rhône Rouge is ripe and concentrated, full of dark fruit and liquorice, yet balanced by juicy acidity and fresh notes of black pepper and spice.
Warm, spicy and superb value, Les Terres du Roy is southern Rhône red done well. It is ripe, supple and versatile at the table. A reliable everyday classic.
