The wine

Refreshing and clean, with lemony notes over a crisp, mineral, bone-dry palate and a mouthwatering finish. Made in a fuller style with longer ageing on the lees to give weight, and from one of the first certified organic estates in Chablis. There is nothing petit about it.

Domaine Jean Goulley was founded in 1986 and is now run by Jean's granddaughter Maud, who took over in January 2022 from her father Philippe after his nearly forty years at the helm.

The family works around eighteen hectares, of which 4.5 lie in Premier Cru appellations, the heart and soul of the domaine. In 1991 they became one of the very first certified organic producers in Chablis, a considerable act of conviction at the time, and everything is still farmed organically with restricted use of sulphur. The Goulleys believe organic methods give an expressive, sustainable soil, and the wines bear them out: pure, mineral and honest.
