Initial de Desmirail Margaux 2021
£32.75
The wine
A real purity of fruit showcased in this elegant Margaux: abundant blackcurrant, black cherry and fruits of the forest complemented by subtle cedar, toast and cinnamon. Elegant, with silky tannins and perfect balance through a lingering finish. The second wine of a Third Growth, and a gentle way in.

Château Desmirail
View all Château Desmirail winesChâteau Desmirail is a Third Growth of the 1855 classification, in Margaux, owned by Denis Lurton of the great Bordeaux family. The estate takes its name from Jean Desmirail, an eighteenth-century parliamentarian who received the vineyard as a dowry.
Initial de Desmirail is the second wine: elegant, silky and unmistakably Margaux in its perfume, and a considerably gentler introduction to a classed growth than the grand vin.
