From a single vineyard on a cool south-facing slope, which in the southern hemisphere is the aspect that stays shaded and slows ripening. Stellenbosch is the historic heart of Cape wine, and its mountain sites are cool enough for Chardonnay to hold its line. Great Heart is a Mullineux project made to support education for the children of vineyard workers in the Cape.

Great Heart is a South African label with a generous purpose, crafting characterful wines from classic Cape regions. Sourced from respected sites in Stellenbosch and Franschhoek, its wines celebrate the heartland of the Cape. A portion of proceeds supports community causes.

The vineyards lie in some of South Africa's finest terroir, from the mountain slopes of Stellenbosch to the valleys of Franschhoek. Cooling breezes and varied soils give the wines freshness and structure. Careful winemaking keeps the fruit at the fore.

The range takes in a fresh Stellenbosch Chardonnay, a structured Cabernet Sauvignon and an elegant Franschhoek Cabernet Franc. Each shows real varietal character and sense of place. They are honest, well-made and food-friendly.
