The wine
Mazapé is Gallina de Piel's rare volcanic white from Tenerife, a blend of the native Gual and Vijariego Blanco. High-altitude vines on volcanic soils give it a singular character.
Citrus, white peach, herb and a smoky, saline minerality fill a distinctive nose. The palate is taut and textured, with orchard fruit, racy acidity and a long, volcanic finish.
A fine match for seafood, rich fish and fresh cheese. Serve well chilled.

From the Penedès and Empordà of Catalonia to Calatayud, Galicia and the volcanic slopes of Tenerife, the project works with old vines and local varieties. The aim is to capture the character of each place. Farming and winemaking are careful and low-intervention.
The range spans fresh Catalan whites, old-vine Garnacha and Carignan reds, mineral Galician whites and rare volcanic bottlings from the Canary Islands. Each is distinctive and expressive. Together they are a tour of Spain's hidden gems.
