The wine
Fresh and aromatic, opening with lemon, Granny Smith apples and chamomile, with real texture.
Ribeiro in Galicia is the oldest wine appellation in the region, its wines exported to England and Italy in the Middle Ages. Treixadura is the leading white grape, and the region has spent thirty years recovering from the high-yielding varieties planted during its decline. Gallina de Piel is Eduardo Ojeda and Fernando Mora MW project, working forgotten sites and indigenous varieties across Spain with an emphasis on elegance and place.

A collaboration of passionate winemakers, its name means goosebumps, the feeling a great wine should give. Each cuvée comes from a different corner of Spain.
From the Penedès and Empordà of Catalonia to Calatayud, Galicia and the volcanic slopes of Tenerife, the project works with old vines and local varieties. The aim is to capture the character of each place. Farming and winemaking are careful and low-intervention.
The range spans fresh Catalan whites, old-vine Garnacha and Carignan reds, mineral Galician whites and rare volcanic bottlings from the Canary Islands. Each is distinctive and expressive. Together they are a tour of Spain's hidden gems.
Gallina de Piel's wines are original, pure and full of character. They celebrate the diversity of Spanish terroir. A thrilling taste of the country's native grapes.
