The wine
Clear yellow, with a fine and complex nose of lively citrus and stone fruit, and a bright palate.
Chablis sits well north of the rest of Burgundy on Kimmeridgian limestone, a seabed laid down 150 million years ago and packed with fossil oyster shells, which is the source of the flinty, saline character that separates it from every other Chardonnay. Domaine Soupé have farmed in Chablis for three generations, with the brothers Frédéric and Jean-Michel running the estate today.

View all Domaine Soupé winesIn Chablis, Domaine Soupé is a family estate devoted to the pure, mineral expression of Chardonnay. Working the region famous Kimmeridgian limestone, it crafts wines of clarity and precision. This is Chablis in its most classic, unadorned form.
Soupé farms with care and vinifies with restraint, letting the chalk and cool climate speak clearly. Little or no oak keeps the focus on freshness and terroir. The result is Chablis of real transparency and drive.
The range climbs from crisp village Chablis to premier and grand cru sites, tracing the fine gradations of this singular appellation. Each wine carries the steely, saline signature of the region.
To pour a Soupé wine is to taste Chablis at its most authentic. Cool, mineral, and beautifully precise, these are whites for lovers of true Chablis.
