Domaine Graeme and Julie Bott First Flight Viognier 2025
£23.45
The wine
Delivering the hallmark freshness that is the Bott signature style, this bright and pure Viognier is beautifully fragrant with notes of apricot and acacia. The palate is linear and zesty, with distinctive minerality and a delicate salinity on the finish. First Flight is the entry to the range, from young vines outside the appellation boundaries. Viognier grown here rather than in Condrieu itself, at a fraction of the price.

Domaine Graeme and Julie Bott
View all Domaine Graeme and Julie Bott winesGraeme and Julie Bott have become one of the northern Rhône's most talked-about young domaines. Graeme is from New Zealand, Julie a native of the northern Rhône; they met working at Domaine Ogier, one of the leading names in Côte-Rôtie.
The domaine came about by happy accident. On buying their first house they discovered that its garden sat on the hillside of Verin, within prime Condrieu appellation, and the estate grew from there. They now farm ten hectares across Côte-Rôtie, Condrieu, Saint-Joseph and the little-known Seyssuel.
They remain boutique producers in the truest sense. The first vintages were made in a neighbour's garage; they now have their own cellar, tucked just beneath La Mouline in Côte-Rôtie. The wines are handcrafted, nuanced and increasingly hard to find.
