Domaine de la Bégude Cadet de la Bégude Rosé 2025
£14.45
The wine
Delicate in colour, with fresh stone fruit and crunchy red berry flavours in balance.
Provence rosé is made by pressing early with minimal skin contact so only the palest colour is drawn, and Mourvèdre gives it a structure that Grenache alone would not. Cadet is the second wine of the estate, from younger vines, and it drinks earlier than the Bandol bottling. Domaine de la Bégude sits at 400 metres above Bandol, the highest estate in the appellation, certified organic since 2006 and run by the Tari family.

View all Domaine de la Bégude winesHigh in the hills above Bandol, in Provence, Domaine de la Bégude is one of the appellation finest estates. Set on a remote plateau of limestone and clay, it farms organically at altitude, where cool nights preserve freshness. Mourvèdre is the heart and soul of everything here.
The family tends old vines with real devotion, harvesting late to capture the grape power and perfume. Traditional winemaking and patient ageing give reds of structure and depth, and rosés of rare seriousness. The style is pure, mineral, and built to last.
The range spans age-worthy Bandol reds, one of Provence greatest rosés, and characterful IGP cuvées. Each carries the wild, herbal signature of this dramatic hillside.
To pour a de la Bégude wine is to taste Provence at its most profound. Structured, mineral, and utterly distinctive, these are wines for those who love true Mourvèdre.
