The wine
Expressive citrus and peach fruit balanced by bright acidity and a long, fresh finish.
Mâcon-Chardonnay is named for the village of Chardonnay in the northern Mâconnais, which is widely held to have given the grape its name. The Mâconnais is the southern end of Burgundy, on limestone, and it is where the region Chardonnay remains affordable enough to drink rather than to save for a special occasion. Corentin Chavy is a young grower from a Puligny family.

The Mâcon-Chardonnay comes from vineyards in the sunny Mâconnais, the southern reach of Burgundy where Chardonnay finds ripeness and value. Limestone soils lend the wine its cut, while careful winemaking preserves its purity. This is classic white Burgundy at an accessible price.
In the cellar, the approach is precise and restrained, with judicious use of oak that lets the fruit and terroir speak. The wines are clean, balanced and true to their origins. Freshness is always the guide.
Corentin Chavy offers honest, well-made white Burgundy from a rising talent. Fresh, mineral and food-friendly, his Mâcon is a delicious everyday introduction to the region's Chardonnay.
