The wine
An expressive, elegant nose of citrus and white-fleshed fruit with a subtle floral touch. The palate is lively and refreshing, with fine tension and pure fruit, combining texture with precision.
Sauvignon Blanc with a little Sémillon from the Entre-Deux-Mers estate of Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite), grown on cool limestone, marl and sandstone soils. Fermented in stainless steel, with around a fifth aged for several months in used French oak for texture without masking the freshness.

Château Paradis Casseuil
View all Château Paradis Casseuil winesChâteau Paradis Casseuil sits in the Entre-Deux-Mers, the rolling country between the Garonne and the Dordogne, and belongs to Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite). Its vineyards spread across three communes of hills and slopes, and the estate takes its name from a spot called Le Paradis, where the chalky Astéries limestone breaks the surface.
The rest of the terroir is a patchwork of soft Agen sandstone, sandy limestone, marl and clay with lime nodules. These cool, porous soils anchor the roots deeply and keep the vines fresh through warm summers. Under winemaker Mathieu Crosnier, the estate makes a Merlot-led red with Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, and a white led by Sauvignon Blanc: approachable Bordeaux made with the precision of one of the region's great houses.
