Château Paradis Casseuil sits in the Entre-Deux-Mers, the rolling country between the Garonne and the Dordogne, and belongs to Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite). Its vineyards spread across three communes of hills and slopes, and the estate takes its name from a spot called Le Paradis, where the chalky Astéries limestone breaks the surface.
The rest of the terroir is a patchwork of soft Agen sandstone, sandy limestone, marl and clay with lime nodules. These cool, porous soils anchor the roots deeply and keep the vines fresh through warm summers. Under winemaker Mathieu Crosnier, the estate makes a Merlot-led red with Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, and a white led by Sauvignon Blanc: approachable Bordeaux made with the precision of one of the region's great houses.
