Antoine Olivier Santenay Les Coteaux sous la Roche 2017
£33.95
The wine
An opulent white with a lively salty mineral character and a hint of liquorice. Rich and creamy on the palate with a lingering finish. From vineyards beneath the rock above Santenay, and drinking beautifully at eight years old.

Antoine Olivier
View all Antoine Olivier winesAntoine Olivier was founded at the end of the 1960s from a few vineyards left by Antoine Chevalier Moreau to his grandson, Herve Olivier. Herve set about extending the estate by buying historic old vineyards across Santenay, some of which had lain unused for a century, paying particular attention to the parcels known for white wine.
The quality of those soils now shows in a series of brilliant wines, above all the exceptional white Santenay, a genuine rarity in what is overwhelmingly red wine country. The range reaches up through Santenay Premier Cru Beaurepaire to Pommard.
