Truchard is a family estate in Carneros, the cool southern gateway to Napa Valley where fog and bay breezes temper the California sun. Tony and Jo Ann Truchard planted their first vines here in the 1970s and remain celebrated growers as much as winemakers.

Farming their own hillside vineyards gives the family a rare command of quality, and their cool Carneros home lends the wines a freshness and balance that sets them apart from richer Napa styles.

The Carneros Chardonnay is elegant and finely poised, the Cabernet Sauvignon supple and detailed rather than blockbuster, and the Roussanne a distinctive, textured white from a Rhône grape rarely seen here.
