Tablas Creek is where Châteauneuf-du-Pape meets the California coast. The estate was founded by the Perrin family of Château de Beaucastel together with importer Robert Haas, who carried cuttings of the great Rhône varieties across the Atlantic and planted them in the limestone hills of west Paso Robles.
Everything here begins in the soil. Tablas Creek was the first vineyard in the world to earn Regenerative Organic Certification, farming with sheep, compost and a nursery of estate vines rather than chemistry. The result is wine of unmistakable place, poised between Old World restraint and Californian generosity.
The Esprit de Tablas bottlings are the estate's statement, Mourvèdre-led reds and Roussanne-rich whites of depth and longevity. The Patelin range draws on the wider Paso Robles community for wines of immediate, sun-warmed charm, while single-variety cuvées of Mourvèdre and Roussanne show the purity of each grape.
These are wines of texture and quiet confidence, built for the table and for the cellar. Discover the estate that proved the Rhône could feel utterly at home in California.
