Matthieu Barret is one of the northern Rhône's most dynamic vignerons, celebrated for his biodynamic work in and around Cornas. From steep granite slopes he crafts Syrah of purity, energy and real sense of place. Farming is resolutely biodynamic, the vineyards worked with great care to express their granite terroir. In the cellar Barret favours a natural, low-intervention approach, capturing vibrant fruit, freshness and the peppery, floral signature of northern-Rhône Syrah. The range offers wonderful accessibility to his style, from the juicy, vibrant Petit Ours Côtes-du-Rhône and a textural Petit Ours Blanc to a fresh, expressive Crozes-Hermitage.
