Luke Lambert has a cult following for his single vineyard Yarra Valley wines, above all his Nebbiolo. The Brisbane born winemaker fell for the variety on his travels in Europe, hooked from the first glass. After studies at Charles Sturt University and a job at James Halliday's Coldstream Hills, Lambert began making his own wines in his garage before releasing his first vintage in 2005. He farms with a light touch, seeking elegance and drive. The range centres on his benchmark, perfumed Yarra Valley Nebbiolo, a wine of real finesse, alongside a taut, mineral Chardonnay.
