Frédéric Berne

Frédéric Berne is a talented young grower based in Lantignié, in the granite hills of the Beaujolais. Working organically, he crafts pure, expressive wines from Gamay, the region's signature grape. His bottles have quickly become favourites among lovers of characterful, terroir-driven Beaujolais. The vineyards sit on the distinctive pink and blue granite soils that give the northern Beaujolais its structure and mineral bite. Berne farms with care and a light touch, letting each site speak. His cuvées are named for the very rocks beneath the vines. From the juicy, floral village wines of Lantignié to the deeper, more structured Morgon cru, the range shows Gamay in all its guises.
