Château Suduiraut

Château Suduiraut is a First Growth of the 1855 Sauternes classification, at Preignac, and one of the greatest sweet-wine estates on earth. Its neighbour, across a hedge, is Château d'Yquem itself.

The botrytised Semillon here produces wines of extraordinary richness and finesse. Castelnau de Suduiraut is the second wine, an accessible introduction to the house; the Grand Vin is one of the benchmarks of the appellation. Both come here in the sensible 37.5cl half.
