The wine

Shiraz is the variety McLaren Vale built its reputation on, giving a richer, softer and more chocolatey style than the peppery Shiraz of cooler Australian regions.

Willunga 100 work with growers holding exceptional old-vine material across the Vale, alongside their own Blind Spot vineyard at Blewitt Springs bought in 2019. Parcels are fermented separately in open-top stainless steel with regular pump-overs and plunging, then matured in French oak with restraint so the fruit leads.
