The wine

Natural Chardonnay from the No es Pituko range, made without additions at any stage. Pale and slightly cloudy, with crystalline banana, apple and pear layered with brioche; the rich, creamy palate is balanced by a refreshing, fruity finish. Chardonnay as it comes off the vine, and all the better for it.

Viña Echeverría is a family-run estate in the Valle de Curico, owned and managed by the Echeverría family since 1930, with agricultural roots reaching back to the 1700s. Nearly a century of winemaking experience meets a modern, state-of-the-art winery, and the results carry the family's uncompromising search for excellence at prices that remain almost quaint.

The range runs from the vivid Reserva and Gran Reserva wines through characterful single bottlings like the coastal GCM blend and El Compadre Pinot Noir from the far south, to the Founders Selection Cabernet at the summit.

Then there is No es Pituko, roughly "nothing posh": a radical natural range vinified without additions at any stage, cloudy, alive and joyously drinkable. The estate holds Sustainable Winery certification from Wines of Chile.
