The wine

A non-alcoholic sparkling Blanc de Blancs with a delicate mousse and floral aromas intertwined with exotic mango and toasty notes of hazelnut. Refreshing with a lovely balance and a creamy finish. Levin is Villa Noria's zero-alcohol range, made by removing the alcohol from finished wine rather than by never making wine at all, which is why it keeps more varietal character than most of the category.

Villa Noria is the work of two friends, Fabien Gross and Cedric Arnaud, who grew up among vines in the Languedoc and Alsace respectively. What they inherited from their winemaking families was less a business than an attitude: enthusiasm, ethics and a deep respect for the land.

The estate sits a short distance from the Mediterranean, between Pezenas and Montagnac. The vines are organic and HVE Level 3 certified, farmed in step with the surrounding landscape rather than against it, and the winemaking is deliberately traditional, without chemical additions and with only low doses of sulphur.

The range stretches further than most. The Amfora and Basic Instinct bottlings are made with no added sulphur at all, and the Levin 0% line offers a genuinely well-made zero-alcohol option, which is rarer than it sounds.
