Trinity Hill Hawkes Bay Pinot Noir 2025
£16.25
The wine
Pinot Noir from Hawke Bay, which is not the obvious place for it: the region is warmer than Central Otago or Martinborough, so the fruit comes out riper and softer with less of the taut structure the cooler regions give.
That makes it an easier drink young, and the cooler inland sites within the region are where the better examples come from. Hand picked and fermented in open vessels with a portion of whole bunches, then aged in French oak with restraint so the fruit leads.

View all Trinity Hill winesTrinity Hill is one of the defining names of Hawke's Bay and a pioneer of the Gimblett Gravels, the warm, free-draining district that has become New Zealand's finest home for Syrah and Bordeaux varieties. The estate helped prove what this remarkable terroir could do.
From its Hawke's Bay range of bright, accessible wines to the concentrated Gimblett Gravels bottlings, Trinity Hill farms with an eye for both freshness and ripeness, drawing structure and spice from the sun-warmed stones.
The Gimblett Gravels Syrah and the flagship Homage are benchmarks of the New World for this grape, peppery and profound, while The Gimblett red and the 125 Chardonnay show the estate's range. The Hawke's Bay wines offer the same craft in a more immediate style.
Ambitious, age-worthy and proudly of their place, these are wines that put a region on the world map. Discover the estate that helped define the Gimblett Gravels.
