The wine

Recioto della Valpolicella is the region's historic sweet red, the ancestor of Amarone, made from dried grapes fermented to leave the wine lusciously sweet.

Deep and decadent, it offers dried cherry, raisin, chocolate and spice over a rich, velvety palate lifted by fresh acidity. A rare and rewarding wine, served in small measures.

A wonderful partner for chocolate puddings, cherry tart and blue cheese, or simply on its own. Serve lightly chilled. Supplied in a 50cl bottle.
