O Rosal is the most southerly sub-region of Rías Baixas, on the north bank of the Miño facing Portugal, and its wines blend Albariño with Loureiro and Treixadura rather than bottling the one grape alone. Santiago Ruiz was one of the estates that made Rías Baixas known beyond Galicia, and its label carries a hand-drawn map made for a family wedding.

Santiago Ruiz is a historic and much-loved estate in the O Rosal sub-zone of Rías Baixas, celebrated for pioneering the aromatic white blends of Galicia. Its wines, with their famous hand-drawn map label, are a benchmark of the region.

Set close to the Portuguese border, the vineyards enjoy an Atlantic-influenced climate ideal for Albariño and a suite of local white grapes. Careful farming and precise winemaking preserve the wines vivid aromatics and fresh, saline character.

The range centres on the classic O Rosal blend of Albariño with Loureiro, Treixadura, Godello and Caino Blanco, alongside a pure varietal Albariño, both fragrant and beautifully suited to seafood.
