The Real Drinks Co makes something genuinely different for the no-alcohol shelf: sparkling fermented teas, made by slow-brewing whole leaf teas and fermenting them the way wine is made, then presenting them in proper 75cl bottles.

The results have real structure, tannin and acidity, which is precisely why they turn up on the pairing menus of some of the country's best restaurants rather than in the soft-drinks fridge.
