Les Valozières is a premier cru in Aloxe-Corton, on the lower slopes of the Corton hill directly below the grand crus. Vinification followed the estate classic approach: one third whole clusters, one third berry-by-berry and one third destemmed, a three-way split that builds structure, lift and fruit weight from the same picking.

Pierre-Olivier Garcia is one of the brightest young talents in Burgundy, a rising grower and micro-negociant based in the Côte de Nuits. In a short time his wines have won critical acclaim for their purity, energy and impressive value.

Working from carefully chosen parcels across the Côte d Or and beyond, Garcia farms and selects with obsessive attention to detail, favouring whole-bunch ferments and restrained oak. The aim is transparency, letting each terroir shine.

The range is unusually broad and rewarding, from serious single-lieu-dit Aligoté and charming Cru Beaujolais to village Marsannay and Nuits-Saint-Georges and on to Grand Cru Corton, each finely drawn and expressive.
