Pieropan Soave Classico 2025 (37.5cl)
£9.75
The wine
Brilliant straw yellow with greenish hints. Almond blossom and marzipan on the nose with a touch of citrus, and a fresh, clean palate.
Soave is made from Garganega, a late-ripening variety with high acidity and a faint almond bitterness on the finish, and the classico zone on the volcanic hills is where it means something. Pieropan farm 60 hectares on the stony hills of Soave Classico and 20 in Valpolicella, and in the early 1930s were the first to bottle Soave under their own name. This is the half bottle.

View all Pieropan winesPieropan is the historic first family of Soave, a name synonymous with the very finest expressions of this classic Veneto white. For four generations the family has set the benchmark for the region, proving that Soave can be one of Italy great, age-worthy whites.
The estate farms prized hillside vineyards in the Soave Classico heartland, including the celebrated Calvarino and La Rocca crus, on volcanic and limestone soils. Certified organic, the family works with meticulous care to capture site and vintage.
From the pure, benchmark Soave Classico to the profound single-vineyard La Rocca and Calvarino, the sublime Le Colombare Recioto and rare library Collezione releases, the range is a masterclass in Garganega.
Elegant, mineral and remarkably long-lived, Pieropan wines are the definitive statement of Soave, a true Italian classic.
