The wine

Iago is Mura Mura's Barbaresco, 100% Nebbiolo from the estate's vineyards in the Barbaresco zone. Expect the classic Nebbiolo profile of red cherry and rose, with firm, fine tannins.

Barbaresco is Nebbiolo grown across the Tanaro from Barolo, on lower, warmer ground where it ripens earlier and gives a more perfumed, approachable wine. Mura Mura, which means 'enjoy life slowly' in Malagasy, was founded by Guido Martinetti and Federico Grom after they sold the Grom gelato business in 2015, and now has vineyards in Costigliole d'Asti, Barbaresco and Serralunga d'Alba.
