The wine
Ruby red, with a fruity nose of fresh strawberry and sour cherry. Wild herb aromas mingle with floral and caramel notes, and well-integrated oak adds elegance.
Pinot Noir from Aconcagua Costa, a cool coastal zone only a few kilometres from the Pacific where sea fog and the cold Humboldt current hold back ripening. Chile only began planting seriously this close to the ocean in the last twenty years, and it is where the country most convincing Pinot now comes from. Hand harvested into 12kg crates in the early hours.
