The Hautes-Côtes de Nuits lies in the hills behind the famous slope, several hundred metres higher and correspondingly cooler, which has turned from a handicap into an advantage as the climate has warmed. La Croix is a named parcel. Carefully selected and cleaned before destemming, then given a light maceration.

In Vosne-Romanée, the most illustrious village of the Côte de Nuits, Domaine Mongeard-Mugneret is a name of real pedigree. The family has grown vines here for centuries, and today the estate holds an enviable collection of grand and premier cru sites. Its cellars run deep with history.

The domaine farms with care across some of Burgundy most hallowed ground, from village Vosne to the legendary Richebourg. Traditional winemaking, generous fruit, and well-judged oak give wines of both power and perfume. The style is opulent yet precise.
