The wine

Terre Alte is Livio Felluga's flagship and one of Italy's most celebrated white wines, a blend of Friulano, Pinot Bianco and Sauvignon Blanc from the estate's highest vineyards.

Intense straw yellow. Extremely complex and rich, with exotic fruit, bergamot, citrus peel and sweet almond. Full bodied, structured and layered, with savoury minerality and a long finish of orange, white peach, sage and white pepper.

Worthy of fine seafood, poultry and richer dishes. Serve lightly chilled.

Livio Felluga is the most celebrated estate of Friuli, in Italy's north east. Livio himself emigrated from Istria and established his property in Brazzano in the 1950s, convinced of the potential of the Colli Orientali long before others.

The estate farms the region's finest hillside vineyards, and its landmark Terre Alte, first made in 1981, remains one of Italy's greatest white wines. Under winemaker Andrea Felluga, tradition is married with a forward looking eye for detail.

The range is broad and distinguished, from benchmark Friulano, Pinot Grigio and the Sharis blend to the flagship Terre Alte, the refined Illivio and single vineyard wines such as Sigar and Curubella.

Layered, textural and utterly distinctive, Livio Felluga's wines are the benchmark for Friuli. They combine richness with freshness and a strong sense of place. This is Italian white wine at the very highest level.
