The wine
Pale lemon. Bright citrus and stone fruit leap from the glass, married with subtle orange notes.
Terret Blanc is an old Languedoc variety that has been grown on this coast for centuries and is now down to a few hundred hectares, having been widely pulled up when the region replanted. It gives a lean, saline white of real freshness. Les Caves de Richemer is a co-operative on the Languedoc coast near Mèze, working clay and limestone soils beside the Étang de Thau.

Les Caves de Richemer
View all Les Caves de Richemer winesCaves de Richemer lies between the Mediterranean and the Lagune de Thau, on the coast of the southern Languedoc. The co operative oversees a thousand hectares of sustainably farmed vines in the Hérault.
The name comes from a 19th century tale of a modest winegrower, Henri Richet, who made his fortune trading wines from the old port of Marseillan and earned the nickname Henri de Richemer. The seahorse on the label, native to the lagoon, is the cellar's emblem.
The range captures the fresh, coastal character of the region, from a zesty, saline Piquepoul to an aromatic Terret Blanc.
Crisp, saline and full of Mediterranean character, the Richemer wines are made for seafood and sunshine. They are fresh, honest and great value. Coastal Languedoc at its most refreshing.
